19” Antique BEMIS grainsack sofa pillow, rustic farmhouse grain sack RARE with tag, pioneer woman prim pillow home decor, distressed tatter

RARE antique Bemis grain sack has been made into a rustic farmhouse 19” large sofa pillow (stamped “BEMIS A Extra Heavy Seamless, 53, super-medium red-clover 150 lbs 53”), here in my 1787 farmhouse studio. It is rare as it has the original tag from Buffalo New York which I attached with a jute bow. When I came across this find and could not believe the timeworn beige color and distressed textures. It is wonderfully soft. I left the edges rugged and frayed which adds to its charm.

The reverse is the same grain sack, which adds to the durability, quality and cost of the cushion. It is filled with a down alternative premium pillow form. Approximately 19 wide x 18 tall.

This pillow is quite large - enough to display on a sofa or a den easy chair. It’s perfect for any rustic farmhouse, pioneer woman, shabby cottage or French country decors wherever one wants an OOAK touch of antique, distressed, rustic textured nostalgia.
