DetailsWhat can I say about this rare 19th century quilt I found at a nearby barn Sale here in Massachusetts? It’s just stunning- the quilt is hand tied, the batting is hand carded sheep’s wool (see photo), the squares are tiny and the indigo is just lovely- it was an expensive color (along with red) to make years ago and it still retains its color. I added a red and blue striped antique grain sack for the back. Adding only antique textiles adds to the cost, charm and design of this one of a kind tree.
I’m making a few spool trees, pillows and tree pillows- each is unique and handmade. Then, this quilt will be gone forever.
Approximately 12” tall and 10” wide. As with any antique fabrics, there may be wearing, tea staining and distressed areas which adds to its charm. Returns are not accepted for unique items such as this one. Not a toy. Spot clean only -
